The music for the film was scored by a. r. Rahman replacing the collaborator of Imtiaz Ali, Pritam Chakraborty. The letter will be written by Irshad Kamil. The rights of audio has been purchased by t-series. According to Rahman, “Rockstar is a fictional character in film and as one can guess from the title, there will be much guitar. “in brief, the music will have very different vibrations.” Neeraj Shridhar and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan are associated with Rahman for the first time through this film. Italian Canadian singer Natalie Di Luccio has recorded two songs for the film.[6] A. r. Rahman has completed the score for the Film Fund and the audio is expected to launch in August. The song of the film’s climax will be Ranbir Kapoor conduct of a hearing live. Ranbir had travelled to Chennai and stayed with Rahman during one week in order to “feel the song drinking and absorbing it” so that when he finally performs, “the song will be an extension of his personality.
